Thanks to NAPA and our local NAPA stores for helping make out 2007 Night of Fire are real "barn burner".  Local NAPA stores include Sweetwater, Abilene N. 1st and Carl's on Buffalo Gap.  Carl's carries a good selection of speed parts and related items.

More pictures may be available at this raceabilene.com link.

The NAPA girls were giving away free stuff all day.

The Jr's were (are) selling arm bands and taking donations to help them get to Bandimere Speedway the week of July 23 2007 for the Western Conference Finals.  Help 'em out if you can.  The Juniors and their  sponsors would like to say a special THANK YOU to Billy Williams for the big donation!  They would also like to thank Coke-Cola for the donation of drinks to sell and to Gandys for the ice cream donation!

Thank You to Industrial Engine for providing the sharp crew uniforms and to Mary Tate for stitching.

Thanks to everyone for coming to the show!

Wonder what their favorite hot rod might be?

Ah, there it is.

Presenting Tony Caprio's Texas Bandit wheel standing PT Cruiser..  You should see this car close up.  Not only does it still have a bunch of street equipment in it, it's clean enough to eat off of.  And, you can cook a steak with it.  Tony put on a great show for the crowd.

Jr. Quick 330: John Faught took the win in Jrs after his sister Aubrey tossed him a gimme by going red on the start.  In other Jr action, Cade Johnson won Jr Consolation with Danna McLane claiming runner up honors.
West Texas 10.5 Association: Gordon Dempsey parks his yellow Camaro in the winner's circle, beating Midland's Brad Swift in the final  Gordon got the better light and was able to hang on for the win with a 5.75 @ 96 MPH against Brad's better 5.73 @ 101.  10.5's by round listed below

ProMods: Thanks to Thomas Myers, Gene Hector and Wes Johnson for putting on a great show, in spite of the big wind.  Thomas had a pass of 4.45 @ 153.  Gene was right there too, running 4.57 @ 157.  Gene Hector had the best pass of a 4.32 @ 166.  Wes unfortunately tested his engine diaper and put a rather large hole in the side of the motor.
Jets: Because of the severe crosswind that topped 35 MPH, the jet cars didn't get to run their 2-of-3 match race.  Paul Miller (near lane) managed a very scary 4.03 @179to Freddy Sibley's 4.45 @ 150 earlier, so they came ready to run.  We got a show out of them, that for sure!  Trivia: Asphalt in the burnout box was 175F after their first pass .
Top ET and Modified ET: We had a great turnout for the bracket race portion of our program.  Unfortunately, the extreme crosswind ended the Top ET program after the second round and Modified ET stopped after the 4th round.
