Tommy Thormeyer and Alan Hartman of Art Carr Performance Products displayed a cross section of the parts available from Art Carr. Art Carr was our name sponsor for this weeks race.

The Powerglide case featured an Art Carr Gate Shifter. The Gate Shifter is one tough piece - you'll have to work at it to wear one of those out.

Art Carr carries a full line of performance transmission parts. Including Powerglide cases, C4 to 'glide bell housings (SFI Approved), bands, clutches, drums, gear sets, input shafts, flexplates - you name it. A new item from Art Carr is the two piece converter. On the left is a 9 1/2" Heavy Duty Super Torque model and on the right an 11" 4500 stall, 1500 HP model. Each is supplied with 2 stators and 2 impellers, allowing the racer to change converter stall as needed right in their own shop.
Special Thanks to Art Carr for the following Saturday door prizes - T-Shirts, $25 Gift Certificate, $500 Gift Certificate, Full Custom Torque Converter, Performance Torque Converter, two transmission rebuild kits and an assortment of locking dipsticks.
Don't forget - thanks to Art Carr you can win a Performance Torque converter a EVERY Saturday Points Race in 2008!

Saturday Eliminators

A. J. Enterprizes Top ET: Thanks to a last second rain shower, Michael Stultz (L) of Clyde and Neil Tinsley of Melvin will have to decide their final at a later date.
Audio Magic Modified ET: The other final halted by the rain was the All Merkel white car Ford vs Chevy double throwdown Modified round. This too will be run off in the near future.

Longmire Plumbing Jr. Dragster: Kimie Lakey (top) from Sylvester nabbed the JR. win in a double breakout final round against Abilene's Kelbi Bradshaw. Kimie ran 7.98 on a 7.99 dial to break out the least. Kelbi had the better light but a way under 8.97 against a 9.01 dial.
Max's Kawasaki Motorcycle: Larry Zienteck of Abilene (top) claims the win in Motorcycle after DOnnie Oliver of Hawley goes red in the final.
Rhino Liner of Abilene All Run Quick: It was Dad vs Daughter in the Quick final round. All the girls brought their "A" Game tonight and daughter Amber Rose used it to put the whup on Dad Rusty. We'll define "whup" as .007 on the tree and a 4.87 on a 4.80 dial. Rusty ran 4.79 on a 4.76 dial but his .061 light gave Amber too much cushion.
Whitten Inn Street Money: Joe Kennedy of Stephenville (top) beat up on everybody in the little Chevy. 11.06 on an 11.00 dial did the deed in Street Money. Runner Up Theresa Dempsey of Abilene ran 8.80 on an 8.72 dial in the Firebird. Theresa was our Sterling Volkswagen Thursday Street Night winner this week and managed two final round appearances on Saturday.
TSTC West Texas Open Trophy: Debbie Kelly of Merkel met up with a hot lapping Theresa Dempsey in the Open Trophy final. Debbie took the win, posting a 7.90 on a 7.88 dial to claim the winner's trophy. Theresa's Firebird ran out from under her, breaking out with a 8.70 under her 8.72 dial.

Dodge Rambunctious Friday Night Gamblers

Friday Gamblers: In the Friday Gambler's race, Clyde's Joe Collier got the better of Abilene's Bryan Gonzales with a dead on final pass. Joe went .019 on the tree and put the dragster at the stripe with a 4.712 on a 4.71 dial. Bryan got close, running 6.36 on a 6.34.
