Sunday Eliminators

A. J. Enterprizes Top ET: Eddie Browder (top) drove his corn-fed E85 injected dragster to a win in Top ET.  Eds 5.23 on a 5.22 dial was the winning ticket in the final.  Runner up Robert Foucha had a better light but broke out with a 5.158 under a 5.16 dial.
Audio Magic Modified ET: San Angleo came up and took home the big money in Modified. Benny Gossett (top) come out on the good end of the double breakout final round against Jory Weimers.  Benny went .016 on the tree and ran 6.108 under a 6.12 dial.  Cory hit a .027 light but went a hair farther under at 7.301 on a 7.32.
 
Longmire Plumbing Jr. Dragster:  Kimie Lakey of Sylvester (top) went dead on 7.980 on a 7.98 to take the win in Jr. Dragster.  Runner up Heather Swiney of Merkel had a better light but broke out - 8.429 on a 8.44.
Max's Kawasaki Motorcycle: Larry Zientek (top) of Abilene grabbed the Motorcycle win aver Tuscola's John Choate after John broke out by the smallest margin possible.  Larry ran a off dial 6.42 on a 6.34 but John stopped the clock at 6.0599 on a 6.06.  Ouch!
Rhino Liner of Abilene All Run Quick: In yet another double breakout final round, Joanna Tinsley from Melvin (top) got the better of Rusty Rose from Levelland.  Joanna went .019 on the tree and ran under 5.046 on a 5.06.  Rusty was a little slow on the leave at .057 and blasted to a 4.752 under a 4.79. 
Whitten Inn Street Money: Sterling Volskwagen Street Series points leader Teresa Dempsey (top -Abilene) drove the firebird to an 8.80 on a 8.75 and the win in Street Money.  Gary Odom from Tuscola runnered up with a 9.13 on a 9.00 dial.
TSTC West Texas Open Trophy: "Thrash for the Trophy" would describe the final round in Open Trophy.  Winner Bobby Knox of Early cut a front tire after the semi round and a trash ensued in the pits to fit a tire and wheel that ultimately involved two Malibu's.  Using a 7.023 on a 7.02 dial with Stu West's right front tire assisting, Bobby got the win.  Theresa Dempsey had to settle for runner up, clocking 8.73 under her 8.75 dial.

Dodge Rambunctious Friday Night Gamblers

Dodge Rambunction Friday Gamblers: Joe Collier (top) from Clyde put together a string of 4.83s with a something on his way to winning the Friday Gamblers race. Jay Campbell of Merkel put away all the Modified cars to earn a spot in the final. Collier dispatched Joseph Tinsley in the last Top ET round with a ..09 light and a 4.831 on a 4.83.  This was Jay's second final in the last couple of weeks, so he's on a roll.  Jay sidelined Steve Longmire in the final Modified round with a 6.10 on a 6.07 dial and a .043 light.  In the Top vs Mod final round, Joe had another .009 light and a 4.833 on a 4.83 dial to take the win.  Jay made him work for it, hitting a .028 light and running 6.09 on a 6.06 dial.
On Thursday night, the Street Eliminator had 12 entries.  At the end of the rounds, it was Victor Alcasa taking third place, Robert Schoemer earning the runner up spot and Korey Seeley taking home the winner's T-shirt.  The first round bounty of $50 was on points leader Teresa Dempsey.  Teresa made it past the first round, so nobody got to claim the bountry this week.
