Saturday Eliminators

A. J. Enterprizes Top ET:  Joe Collier (top) and Carrol Johnson decided to split and skip running the final.

Pinnacle Countertop Solutions Modified ET: Tommy Wade of Abilene (top) took the win in Modified ET by the skin of his bumper, taking out Clyde's Freddie Hillin in the final.  Tommy ran 7.78 on a 7.76 dial with a .058 light for the win.  Freddie drove the Mustang to a 6.76 over his 6.72 dial with a better .045 light.  When you add up the numbers out to 4 digits, Tommy got there first by .0056 - not much!

Longmire Plumbing Jr. Dragster: A double red light final left Kyle Macias of Clyde with the win in Jr. Dragster.  Cade Johnson of Tuscola gets the runner up spot.  Cade had the slower dial and red lit first, giving the win to Kyle who prompty red lit worse than Cade. A win's a win.
Rhino Linings of Abilene All Class Quick: Cole and Kevin Bracey were in the All Run Quick final.  There was some discussion in the lanes about loser having to load the cars in the trailer, to which Cole responded "I always have to load the cars anyhow."  So now Cole has to listen to Kevin go on and on while loading up the equipment - Kevin takes the win with a .009 light and a 4.94 on a 4.96 dial.  Trailer Loader Cole had Kevin on the tree by .0001 with a .0089 light but ran too far off the dial, clocking 6.68 on a 6.65.
TSTC West Texas Pro Footbrake:Sambo Tyra of Abilene (top) collects the win in Pro Footbrake, with Chris Kelly of Merkel bringing home second place.  Both drivers were set on kill at the tree and Sambo ended up with the better deal - his .009 light beat Chris' -.0003 red light start by just that much.  Sambo drove out a 7.09 on a 7.03 dial and the Falcon ran it down to a 7.339 under a 7.35 dial.

Whitten Inn Street Money-: Travis Massingill (left) muscled his big black Ford down the track to the win in Street money.  A .086 light and a dead on 9.152 on a 9/15 dial was the winnning ticket for Travis.  Runer up Donny Lowrance of Colorado City ran a respectable 8.31 on an 8.29 dial but his .222 light gave Travis plenty of room at the finish.
Mickey Thompson Tires of Texas Winner- Adam Kennedy was the highest finishing points racer and wins the tires this week.

Max's Kawasaki Motorcycle: John Poor got the better of Frankie Berry in the Motorcycle final round.  And John did it with a loaner, since he borrowed the bike from his daughter.  John had a .120 reation time and drove a 7.66 on a 7.61 to take the win.  Frankie ran closer to his dial, posting a 6.67 on a 6.65 but his .243 light gave John room to drive the finish line.
Top ET Gamblers: Clayton Nance (top) took the win in the Friday gamblers when Cole Bracey went -.005 red in the final.  Too bad for that, it was a real race from the other numbers - Clayton had a .011 light and ran 4.863 on a 4.86 dial.  Cole drove the Mopar to a 6.638 on a 6.63 dial.  That would haave gone right to the finish line.
Modified Gamblers:   Ty casey hit a .042 reaction time and clocked a 6.33 on a 6.22 dial for the win in Mod Gamblers.  Billy Doucettte of Snyder runner up with a 9.85 on a 9.79 dial and a .131 light.
A big rain and wind storm overnight made a mess of the track and parking lot. There just wasn't time enough to get things cleaned up and prepare the track for running, so the Sunday event was canceled.
