| Special thanks to our local Beat The Heat officer/racers for bringing out their cars. With the Interceptor, they all put on a great show. There was a $50 bounty in Top ET on the BTH officers and several racers made a few bucks Beating The Heat. Joe McCauley, Cole Bracey, Ty Casey, Clayton Longmire and Clayton Nance all scored cash for Beating the Heat. Joe's in double trouble since he got one in the first round and another in the second round. Thank you to Officers Talbert, Wright and Franklin for your service to the community. |

| Dialing for Dollars: Robert Rankin scored the Dial For Dollars cash with a 7.422 on a 7.42 dial. That's another cash score for the footbrakers in the crowd. |
A. J. Enterprizes Top ET: Ty Casey went all 7 rounds without a miss to take the win in Top ET. Micah Neves of Midland took runner up in what the numbers say was a close final. Ty went .002 on the tree and ran 6.248 on a 6.23 dial for the win. Neves hit a good .017 reaction time and ran dead on 5.969 on a 5.96. That figures out to a .0058 at the finish. |
Pinnacle Countertop Solutions Modified ET: Tommy Wade also went 7 rounds straight to the final in Modified ET. Roy Spivey only misfired in the first round, then went 5 straight to meet up with Tommy. Tommy got his win with a .036 light and a 7.632 on a 7.62 dial. Roy was a little late with a .092 light and then just made it official with a run of 6.0796 against a 6.71 dial, for a .0004 breakout. |
| Longmire Plumbing Jr. Dragster: The Bettis sisters ran off all challengers to meet up for a second straight time in the final round of Jrs. It was DejaVu all over again, with Codi getting the win and Whitley having to deal with second place. Codi drove a good race, using a .026 reaction time and an ET of 13.49 on a 13.41 to turn on the win light. Whitley missed the tree with a .154 reaction but had the ET, running 7.958 on a 7.96, just .004 under the mark. |

| Rhino Linings of Abilene All Class Quick: Joe McCauley was on a roll tonight, and finished up with a win in All Class Quick by putting together the best final round package of the evening. He had to, or Mike Coday would have snagged the win lite because both had an excellent final round. Joe put togther a .014 package to win - thats the result of a .009 light and a dead on 4.975 on a 4.97 dial. Mike made Joe work for that win, hitting a no slouch .021 light and also running dead on with a 6.658 on a 6.65. The difference was maybe 2 feet at 100 MPH. |

| TSTC West Texas Pro Footbrake: Jay Campbell has that Pro Footbrake thing down, claiming his 3rd win in 4 races. Brody Tibbetts had to settle for the runner up spot when he handed the win to Jay at the starting line with a -.019 red light. It could have been different, you never know - Broady ran 7.32 on a 7.28 and Jay ran a little under with a 6.029 on a 6.04 dial. |
Whitten Inn Street Money: Our Mickey Thompson Tires of Texas Winner this week is Robert Hector. Dean Kennedy laid claim to runner up in the final. It was a fairly even start with Robert hitting a slightly better .044 light to Dean's .056. At the top end both cars were off a bit. Robert stopped his clocks at 8.748 on a 8.64 dial and Dean slowed to a 10.71 on a 10.60. While those were some "big" numbers, at the finish line it came down to only .018 finish margine for Hector. That's pretty close, less than 2 feet.

| Max's Kawasaki Motorcycle: Donnie Oliver (left) squared off against Jerry Bowen in the morotcycle final round. Jerry got the better light with a .028 against Donnie's .074 but Donnie ran closer to his dial with a 6.30 on a 6.25. Jerry ran father off dial, posting a 6.43 on a 6.32. |
| SUNDAY - SUNDAY - SUNDAY |
| Just as a reminder about Sundays - we do a regular track prep, so if you have some testing to do on your race car, bring it out. It's only $15 at the gate and $5 for a trailed car test-n-tune card. And, you can go as many laps as you can stand. |

Sterling Volkswagen Street Eliminator Series: Let me see if I can explain this one. They ran one set of rounds for points. Then somebody said "Hey, lets do that again!" Somebody else asked "Is this for points?" And so it was decided to run another race and call it for points also. So I guess you'd call that a double points race race. When the dust settled, Robert Hector had scored the win both times, beating out Dean Kennedy in the final - both times. See the Saturday Street Money results and you'll think Dean is getting just a bit tired of that action. Final Round Race #1 - Hector goes .002 on the tree (yes, in the truck) to Dean's .086. Hector runs dead on 11.465 on a 11.46 dial with Dean getting close at 10.556 under a 10.56. Final Round Race #2 - Robert again kills the tree with a .007 (in the truck) and clocks 11.47 on an 11.45 dial. He might have tapped the brake a bit, since Dean went .174 on the tree and ran a bit slow at 10.58 on a 10.55 dial.
The 10/25 Street Series race will be the last one of the year and Sterling will be paying the money, so it will be an exciting Sunday finish to the 2009 Sterling Volkswagen Street Series. |
