Rhino Linings & Truck Accessories of Abilene Top ET:  Jarod Wilson of Mission grabed the Top ET win on Saturday night. Charlie Goff from Smithville was our runner up. Jarod had a lead from the start with a nice .017 light, then went 5.11 on a 5.09 dial to win. Charlie was farther off at 5.19 on a 5.13 and the .055 light gave Jarod plenty of room.

Whitten Inn Modified ET: Modified took the split and waived the final

Max's Kawasaki Motorcycle:  David Baugh of Lorena ran 5.99 on a 5.95 dial with a .054 light for the Max's win. Bruce Sibert ran a close 5.88 on a 5.90 dial but his .100 light put him too far back at the finish line.
Longmire Plumbing Jr. Dragster: Regan Jordan of Fort Worth shut down Tyler Thorp of Knickerbocker in the Jr. final. Regan had the better numbers, with a .061 light and a run of 8.86 over an 8.84 dial. Tyler had a bit slower .091 light and was a good bit off at 8.10 against his 8.03 dial.
5.80 Motorcycle Index: Randy Hughes got the winning ET, running nearly on the index with the clocks showing 5.83 against the 5.80 limit. Michael Mathews had a better light but his 5.91 was too far away from the number to win. Michael still had a great weekend - read on.
Modified Points Runoff / Mod Gunslinger: To finish out the Modified points race, Shane Pritchard squared off against Brody Tibbets in a best 2 of 3 run off to decide the number one spot. Mod ended in a tie in both round and show up points - and with 3rd place just one round back from making it a 3 way tie. Shane got it done in two and now gets to revel in all the fame and glory that goes with being the 2011 Modified Champ. In the Mod Gunslinger, Brody and Ty Casey split the cash with Brody getting the win sticker.
Top Gunslinger: Last 3 racers engineered a split, took the money and ran away. 38 entries at $200 each equals ka-ching any way you slice it.

Rhino Linings & Truck Accessories of Abilene Top ET:  Lance Fulgham busted off a .008 light and ran a close 5.02 over a 5.00 dial to snatch the win in Top ET. Michael Mathews was closer to the dial at 5.907 on a 5.89 but a .039 light gave Lance the stripe and the win. That bike managed to park a lot of Box cars in the process - you don't see that much!

Whitten Inn Modified ET: The Mod final was a real squeaker. Jay got there first - barely - with a 6.08 on a 6.06 dial and a .038 light. Tommy Wade ran numbers very close to that, clocking 7.53 on a 7.51 with a .049 light. If the calculator is right, that's barely .007 at the finish line.

Max's Kawasaki Motorcycle: Michael Mathews had a great day, runnering up in Top and taking the win in Motorcycle. Kendle Koonsman of Abilene got the runner up spot. Michael ran 5.86 on a 5.75 while Kendle ran a close 5.96 on a 5.95. The big difference was on the tree. We'll just say nobody cut much of a light in that round!
Longmire Plumbing Jr. Dragster: Tanner Thorp gets the weekend family bragging rights by claiming a win in Jr on Sunday. Cade Johnson went red on the start and that settled that real quick. It would have been a race - Cade ran it out to a 8.04 on an 8.06 and Tanner ran dead on 8.00. The tree would likely have decided that one anyway.
